THE 1000 FRAME FIGHT

This video is kinda/sorta signifying almost a year’s worth of Blender! I’ve learn loads and achieved loads, and finally, an animation to be proud of that is actually full or complete or useful! It took me a while to do, but it’s worth it. The hardest thing, was animating the falling over, because it’s hard to make it look realistic (that’s why you don’t really see them falling much)

The Fight Scene Preview

Here is the first ever render from my fight film. The guards haven’t been put in place yet (they’ll be standing by the door). I simply made my set through extruding alone from a box and ‘appended’ the tough guy into the scene by just searching blender 2.6 append tutorial and chose the first one. Enjoy!

Good News! The enemy can move!
All models are rigged and ready, now it’s time to start animating the sequence. I’m going to use a street model off turbosquid as I don’t feel confident creating my own settings yet.
Edit: After trying to add the street and stuff, it hasn’t been workng, so the fight will just happen on a single plane.

This is the enemy (who will be duplicated numerous times) in order to create enemies for him to fight! Since he looks so good, it has resulted in me changing the tough guy a bit. I think the tough guy looks a bit too orange, but I’ll change that! Note, neither images are the tough guy, both are the enemy. Now all that’s left is to rig. I might just copy the rig of the tough guy, as both models are the same, the enemy just has smaller muscules!

This is the start of me modelling a very simple ‘tough’ guy to make a fighting movie. I am now uv mapping him with help from some tutorials on Youtube, but it’s amazing how much I’ve learned for free and this model was made without tutorials. It hasn’t been long at all and I’m becoming more and more confident in animating. Everything I’ve done wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing internet and the super cool free resources I found. (These people rock: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001016.htm for creating the internet!)

I hope to finish this movie so watch this blog to follow my steps of creation as I create the movie!

I’m gonna wait a bit on the ‘saying goodbye’ competition until I can think of what else to do, I might post it on blenderartists for focused critique of how to make it better.
